Gerry Mulligan Quartet - Dragonfly
When dad died a few years ago, I was the only one in the family who still had a CD player so I inherited his collection. I'm really glad to have these; it really feels like a way to stay close, and I feel like I'm learning a few new things about him from these. He'd culled his CD collection a couple years before he died, so everything I have is one of his favourites.
Honestly I didn't really know he was a Gerry Mulligan or Miles Davis guy, but there were a couple of Mulligan CDs in the set. I especially love this one - a collection of his original compositions from late in his life. Lovely stuff.
