Guido - The Brink of Time
This is one of the albums that introduced me to fusion jazz way, way back in the day. As a Chrono Trigger-obsessed kid who didn't know much about music yet, it was easy to convince me to try out an album that said Chrono Trigger on it. And I'm glad I did, because this absolutely opened my horizons; it's a great album that's not like anything I'd heard before. As I listened obsessively to it and the other Japanese video game fusion jazz albums of the 90s, it helped me gain an appreciation for all the music I'd come to love in the future.
